Soy wax! But why?
Your home deserves the best, and so do your lungs. Unlike conventional candles, which often contain harsh chemical additives, every one of our candles is hand-poured using only 100% pure soy wax.
Choosing soy wax is a simple way to choose a cleaner,
healthier environment for your home.
Pure Soy Wax
Ultra-Clean: Burns without petrol-carbon soot
Pollution-Free: No harmful toxins or known carcinogens released into your air
Renewable: Derived from the soybean, a natural, biodegradable source
Longer Lasting: Lower melting point allows soy wax to burn slower and up to 50% longer
Industrial Blend
Dirty: Produces significant black, petrol-carbon soot
Polluting: Can release Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) and toxins into the air
Non-Renewable: Derived from petroleum (crude oil)
Shorter Life: Burns faster, requiring you to replace your candles sooner.
Avoid Additives!
Our promise of a 'pollution-free burn' is a direct commitment to avoiding specific additives and ingredients found in many mass-produced candles.
We strictly exclude the following from our formulation:
Paraffin Wax
this is the most common wax used in conventional candles. It is a byproduct of the petroleum refining process. When burned, it can release chemical pollutants such as benzene and toluene - known irritants and potential carcinogens - into your living space, compromising your indoor air quality.
UV Inhibitors & Color Dyes
these chemical stabilizers are added to prevent the wax from fading or changing color over time. We embrace the natural, creamy white aesthetic of pure soy wax, ensuring no unnecessary chemicals are introduced to your burn.
Phthalates
often used in synthetic fragrances, these are endocrine-disrupting chemicals. We use only premium, natural fragrance and essential oils that are verified to be phthalate-free.
Quality and Differences
Additives are often used in mass production to artificially improve the performance, texture, and appearance of wax.
Pure soy candles react intensively to temperature changes and their environment, which affects their natural color and texture.
Signs of a pure soy wax candle:
Appearance & Texture
slightly matte, creamy, or opaque
'Frosting' or 'Blooming'
a crystalline layer that forms on the surface or sides
Adhesion
soy wax naturally shrinks when it cures or when exposed to temperature changes. It is common and expected to see 'wet spots' or 'pullaway' where the wax has slightly detached from the side of the container
Softness
soy wax is naturally softer than paraffin, it will yield slightly under pressure, whereas paraffin is much harder and more brittle
Post-Burn
after burning soy wax shrinks and leaves textured - sometimes even craggy - surface
and discoloration once solidified
